In this Beg/Int dance class students will continue to build on the foundational techniques of jazz dance. Students will be taught spatial concepts of alignment, placement, isolation, and release in classroom excersises. By the end of the term participants will have Increased body awareness and confidence. Join teacher Sara Stanton this spring as she utilizes the drum beats of John Hanks to teach a warm up demo for showcase. Along with this students will incorporate the skills learned in a choreographed piece entitled "Another Day of Sun" from the hit musical La La Land. Black jazz shoes are required.

Prerequisite: 2 terms of CYT Dance

Sara is a mom of four, three of whom are in CYT. She trained in various styles of dance in her youth and throughout college, and was blessed to teach jazz, ballet, and tap at her church's dance studio in Sacramento. She was also part of the dance ministry and loves to worship God through dance. She is delighted to teach kids in CYT dance fundamentals.
